That Lesbian Mom Next Door is about life, motherhood, raising teenagers, our non-neurotypical son's adventures in social interaction, writing, mood swings, Diet Coke addiction and anything I'm thinking about that day. Could be rats. Could be date rape. Could be rock 'n' roll.
Gayby Boom! is a slice of life from a gayby boom generation survivor.

The Brides of March: Memoir of a Same-Sex Marriage
The subtitle of my memoir is "a giddy leap through a legal window, straight onto the barbeque pit of public debate." You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get ticked off that gay couples can't marry.
Essays
Umm, I gave up counting my published essays somewhere around a hundred and fifty. I've had work in a plethora of fine publications. My most recent essays have appeared in:
Curve Magazine, Black Lamb Literary Magazine, Hip Mama Zine

TIMEOUT: The Mother of All Comedy Shows
Comedienne Jacki Kane created this open-mike style comedy show by and for the mom in all of us. My next performance is at Wordstock Festival. Maybe I'll tell the thong story, maybe rock band in the basement. No prom stories. I'm not a prom girl.
Awards
The Brides of March, published in April, 2007, received a Writer's Digest International Self-Published Book Award, an IPPY, a Foreword Magazine Book of the Year Award, a Reader Views Award, a National Indie Excellence Award and was a Finalist for the 2008 Oregon Book Awards in Creative Nonfiction.
Nanowrimo Winner 2008 and 2009
Inspired by friend and fellow author Evan Nichols, I wrote my guts out two Novembers in a row. It's fun to write a novel in a month. I recommend it.
